Profile
Enjoying a reputation for top-quality products and consistently reliable service since 1952, Interstate Batteries is the battery brand preferred by auto technicians in North America. We got our start in the automotive world, but today our batteries are found in almost any type of vehicle from over-the-road big rigs and forklifts to golf carts and personal watercraft. Beyond vehicles, Interstate can be found providing custom solutions in the motive and critical power industries and offers virtually any type of battery at our Interstate All Battery Center stores, where our friendly battery experts serve local consumers and businesses. Our service is the common thread. Interstate has thrived by following the golden rule, by treating others like we want to be treated. As we continue to serve our communities nationally and internationally, we look forward to building upon this legacy of quality products and reliable service for our next 65 years of business.
History
Established in 1991.
In 1950, John Searcy began selling and delivering car batteries to wholesalers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He based his business on high principles: offer the best-quality product, provide impeccable service and treat the customer with respect. Today, Interstate Batteries are sold in 300,000 dealers across the United States and internationally. In 1998, the innovation continued as Interstate All Battery Centers emerged to meet the growing demand for portable battery power by bringing a full spectrum of battery products to the retail market. As we continue to grow as the premier replacement battery provider of consumer and commercial portable power solutions worldwide, we’re proud of the reputation we’ve built and look forward to the next chapter in our history. Scott Miller continues the family legacy as Interstate Batteries President and CEO with a focus on the values and ethics that has earned Interstate the respect and loyalty of customers, vendors and employees.
