Profile
We are people of many cultures woven together into the fabric of Oakland to display the beauty of God’s story. As a multiethnic, multi-economic, multigenerational Christian church in the Fruitvale district of Oakland, we strive to be a community welcoming to people at every point in their spiritual journey and caring for every part of the life of our city–spiritually, relationally, physically, and economically. Come join us this Sunday! We meet for worship on Sundays at 10:30am at an elementary school called Learning Without Limits.
History
Established in 2018.
We started as two new churches. A black church from East Oakland, and a majority white church downtown. Churches from different traditions, with different age demographics, worship styles, and mid-week ministries. Together we are creating Tapestry Church, people of many cultures woven together into the fabric of Oakland to display the beauty of God’s story. Our opening service was on June 3rd, and we are excited to see where God will take this crazy experiment that he’s made possible through the grace of Jesus.
