Profile
Calvin Crest is a summer camp, conference center and outdoor school that has been partnering with churches to make life-long disciples of Jesus Christ for more than 60 years. Our secluded 340-acre grounds are surrounded by the Sierra National Forest. We have a blend of hotel and premium and rustic cabins, meeting spaces, outdoor activities, and indoor dining. Located an hour north of Fresno and 30 minutes from Yosemite National Park, retreat groups gather here to rest, worship and connect with God in the majesty of his creation.
History
Established in 1954.
Calvin Crest was built by Presbyterian churches in the Central Valley of California to partner with pastors, youth leaders and parents to make lifelong disciples. Since its inception it has broadened its reach to serve churches of many denominations and affiliations. Calvin Crest has a longstanding connection to Fuller Theological Seminary It has sent more than 25 of its staff alumni on to Fuller to become pastors. We have had either a program director or executive director trained by Fuller seminary since the early 70’s. Our board has adopted the Fuller statement of faith as an ecumenical creed to communicate to a broad group of Christians not only what we believe and teach but who we have been for decades.
