Dr. Portugal has over thirty years of experience. He is experienced in not only traditional manual adjusting but also in gentle low force, Arthrostim and Activator techniques where there is no “popping or cracking” joint sounds. These last techniques use a small tool to gently push the vertebrae to restore normal joint function. All are effective and comfortable for infants to the elderly and everyone in between. Auto accident patients in particular respond very well to low force adjusting as their muscles and ligaments are sometimes too irritated for traditional chiropractic adjusting. We also utilize massage therapy, intersegmental table traction, and electrical muscle therapy.

Established in 1989.

Dr. Portugal graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1986 and began practicing that same year, first in Los Angeles and then in Huntington Beach. He and his wife moved to Lake Forest in 1987 and opened Portugal Chiropractic Family Health center in 1989 to serve the Saddleback Valley.
