History
Established in 1982.

Hope started in 1982 when Jeff Fischer, a surfer and rock n roll drummer met Jesus and started hosting a Bible study for a group of friends in a local drug dealer’s home. They came to believe in Jesus after the tragic loss of one of their closest friends to drugs and alcohol. Jeff was attending Hope Chapel Hermosa, known as the “surfer’s church” and told his Pastor they needed a “church like this” in the valley. So his pastor sent Jeff out to start a Hope Chapel of the Valley. To this day, Hope remains true to its core vision to be a place where people can learn to follow Jesus and find love, acceptance and forgiveness.
