Welcome to First Southern Baptist Church in Sylmar, California. Our church has been sharing the gospel of Jesus in this township of Los Angeles and its surrounding areas since 1959. We are a Southern Baptist Church (SBC) affiliated with the largest denomination in the United States. If you are new to the area, feel free to call us so we may accommodate your spiritual needs and get to know you personally. If you are in need of food for the body, we can help. Simply stop by our campus on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 PM or Friday at 8:00 Am so we may assist you.

At First Southern Baptist Church of Sylmar, we believe in ministering to the whole family. Every age group has different needs that can only be met effectively through different age appropriate ministries, experiences and messages. First Southern Baptist Church of Sylmar is a “come as you are” kind of church. Many of our members and attendees enjoy wearing their “Sunday best” to worship, while others prefer more casual attire. It doesn’t matter to us. We just want you to feel comfortable and at home.
