Profile
LMCC is a congregation of people from all “ages and stages” of life. We reflect the communities around us and, while we have energetic kids & youth programs, you will find our worship styles to reflect the rich tapestry of our multi-generational community. We sing worship songs that include the rich spectrum and heritage of progressive sound and songs, along with classic church and gospel music from the 20th and 21st Centuries. As for our practices, we embrace the ordinances (believers’ baptism by immersion and weekly “open” communion); and we teach the Bible intelligently, somewhat provocatively, and don’t shy away from the controversial issues or questions. We ask you to bring your brain & your sense of humor. We are intentionally multi-cultural and have language-specific teaching for Latinos, Slavics, and Arabics. Our children and youth programs coordinate in English along with our adult multi-lingual tracks. There is truly something for everybody. Come early on Sundays, as we’ve got a donut with your name on it!
History
Established in 1959.
We;ve been in the same inconvenient location for over a half-century. Located on Los Coyotes Avenue behind The Home Depot (La Mirada Bl & Imperial Hwy). Since we were here first, we like to say that The Home Depot is in front of us, but so far that hasn’t worked. Our ministry reflects our neighborhood, and we invite those who are life-long believers, as well as those who may have been hurt, disappointed, or disconnected from church, and from God. God specializes in 2nd chances. There’s a place for you at LMCC.
