Profile
For 50 years, at the Bay Area Rescue Mission, we share God’s love for everyone while providing meals, emergency shelter, recovery programs, job and life-skills training and more.
History
Established in 1965.
For more than forty years, the Bay Area Rescue Mission, a Christian organization, has been changing lives for a brighter tomorrow through emergency shelter, meals, recovery programs, spiritual counseling, education, job skills training, transitional services, youth intervention, food pantry, resource distribution, and mobile outreach. Every day, we provide 325 beds emergency shelter for homeless men, women and children; more than 4,000 meals; offer programs of recovery for more than 80 people; work with over 75 inner-city youth; resource share with over 40 like-minded organizations … all this and more is free of charge to the public. We are 100% privately funded, 501(c)3 non-profit. We receive no funds from federal, state, county or city government. All financial and in-kind donations are tax deductible.
