Mission Valley Free Methodist Church is a community of people who take Jesus’ commands to Love God and Love Others seriously. Our church desires to be a safe place where anyone can come and encounter God. Our vision is “to become a loving community, inviting and challenging people to move towards Christ”. Come join us for Bible based teaching, friendship and celebration of God’s love. Multicultural English service starts 10am and Japanese speaking service starts at 9am.

History
Established in 1919.

Our church started out as a Free Methodist mission to Japanese immigrants living in Los Angeles. The church grew and moved from Los Angeles, to Boyle Heights and then once again to San Gabriel in the late 1970s. Although the church was founded as a Japanese language church, today we are a predominantly multi-asian congregation and celebrate diversity and unity in Christ! We carry on our church founders passion and “mission for the valley” as we strive to share the love of God with those around us. We welcome everyone and anyone!
