Our purpose is to provide quality Christian care for children in a safe, happy, healthy, and intellectually stimulating environment. All are welcome regardless of race, color, creed, or religion. We believe that while children follow predictable stages of growth and development, they move through these stages at their own rates and in their own unique ways. Each child is God’s unique creation with individual strengths and needs. We try to build on these strengths and meet the unique needs of each child by providing a wide variety of both teacher-directed and child-created activities.

Established in 1971.

Located at the site of Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California, LACS was established in 1971, and was formerly known as Lake Avenue Parent-Participation Nursery School. The non-profit school was headed by director, Mrs. Eugene Totten, where she worked with mothers who assisted professional nursery school teachers.
